Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient

It is a powerful feeling to know that God, the one who created the Universe, cares so deeply for you and I, and also loves us unconditionally (wholeheartedly, without reserve, unlimited)! It’s even more powerful to have peace, even in the midst of our problems and struggles, because we trust and believe that God is in control, no matter what our circumstances. How great it is to know that He will be in control of everything until the end of time, even when we feel like things aren’t going well or going our way. Furthermore, God is all powerful and all knowing. He protects us from far more than we’ll ever know. He protects us from danger, harm, people, sickness, and more. God knows what will happen today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now, and He has a plan for each day. He is aware of every hour, minute, and second. Also, God is always with us; He will never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:6), regardless of what we feel. He is with us in our agony, loneliness, and sorrow. He is there to comfort us and strengthen us when we need it. He is also there in our joy, laughter, and bliss. He is there when no one else is, and it is our job is to cast our cares (Psalm 55:22) and trust in Him with all our heart (Proverbs 3:5). So why do we continue to worry? Why do we strive in life, trying to be God and trying to control things which are out of our control? Why are we afraid of things happening or not happening? How can we turn from these unhelpful ways and trust God? The first step we need to take is to be in God’s Word so that we understand who God is. What are his characteristics, what is his nature? Also, what does it really mean when we hear the phrase that God is Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent?

For starters, Omnipresent means God is everywhere, always. He can be with me here in WI and He can be with you wherever you are, all at the same time. Omniscient means that God knows everything. He knows what you and I are thinking, He knows what we had for breakfast, what will happen tomorrow, and He even knows the sins we will commit 3 years from now. He knows all the mistakes we will make and yet, He chooses to love us anyway (unconditionally, remember?). Last but not least, God is Omnipotent, which means He holds all the power (He holds all time and wisdom also). He is almighty and can do anything; nothing is impossible for God (Luke 1:37). God is to be feared and revered. Yet, He loves us and He is on our side. He wants to help us and fight our battles while we enjoy life. If this doesn’t make you wanna jump out of your seat and shout for joy, I don’t know what else will.

As we begin to find out who God is, we will begin to understand who we are. We will be less bombarded with chaos of the world, regardless of what life throws at us. God is our Father and Creator. He knows us better than anyone else. We must find out who He is, by ourselves and on a personal level. You shouldn’t base who God is on what I say or what others say. The Bible says, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him (Psalm 34:8). Experience Him for yourself; I know you will not regret it!

Come, let us Pray.

Heavenly Father, Almighty God, Creator of the Universe,

Be praised! We magnify you and exalt you! You are worthy, so worthy of the Glory! You love us, protect us, forgive us, provide for us, are with us, and are always patient with us. You are more than we can ask for and You are everything we need! Hallelujah!

God, I thank you for these readers and for your message today. I pray that you will give them desire, hunger, and thirst to seek you. Help us to find out more about you by reading your Word, and to know You more, on a personal level. You are not some God who is far away and impossible to know. You are within reach and waiting for us to draw near. Lord, help the readers to understand what it means for you, our Maker, to be Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. Give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Remove anything that would hinder or block our attempts to seek You. You are so great, and I am overjoyed to know you and to have understanding of your love for me, so I pray for the readers to experience the same. Help them to put their faith and trust in you. I know You are going to do great things in their lives Lord, and for that I thank you and praise you. Let Your Will be done.

In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

Prayerfully,

Pam
