Are you spiritually anemic?
There are different types of Anemia. According to the Mayo Clinic, people with anemia don't have adequate amounts of (healthy) red blood cells, which give our body oxygen. This condition can often leave a person feeling weak and fatigued. Other symptoms are irregular heartbeats, shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pain, and headache. Some people (with anemia) are iron deficient, while others lack other vital vitamins like folate or B-12. Sometimes the anemia can be controlled by eating more nutrient rich foods or by taking a supplement, but other times, the individual may need to have surgery. Regardless of the type, an anemic person does not have enough red blood cells. We'll get back to this, but I want to share with you a vision I had the other day, that led me to this topic.
A few nights ago, I was praying. After I had prayed for everything/everyone on my list, I saw a vision. I saw a person, in a hospital gown, lying on a hospital bed. Then the scene zoomed in, and focused on their arm. They had an IV in their arm, and the Holy Spirit said to me, they are getting a blood transfusion. I didn't know who the person was, but continued to pray until the vision left me. When I was done, the words Spiritually Anemic came to me, so I put those words in my notes, on my phone. Then I remembered a Bible verse that said there is life in the blood. I looked it up and found it in Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul, but what did this have to do with a blood transfusion? I instantly thought of the powerful and precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and started to look for more scriptures. Here are 5 (of many) verses that I found:
Matthew 26:28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’sgrace.
Colossians 1:20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death so that we may serve the living God!
Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
I believe God is showing me that many of us are spiritually anemic, and in need of a spiritual blood transfusion from Jesus Christ. I know I do. I often feel symptoms of anemia like, difficulty concentrating, not being able to sleep, loss of energy, and rapid heartbeat. (These are actually the symptoms of many health conditions!) Many of us want to pray, but don't have the energy to do so. Some of us read the Bible, but have problems focusing. Some of us have strained relationships, and don't know how to deal with them. Others are just having trouble breathing in general. This is extremely hard, and it isn't the life God wants us to live.
God doesn't want us miserable and suffering, and He has provided a way out. Jesus died a horrific and brutal death, and did not breathe his last breath until he had shed enough blood that would cover the sins of all mankind. Jesus was blameless and sinless, and willingly shed his precious blood for us. His blood is readily available. There is life in the blood of Christ. In the above verses, we see that His blood has the power to revive us, redeem, reconcile, and restore. His blood washes away all of our sin, clears our conscious, and gives us access to daily communion with God, the Father. His blood makes us children of God, brings healing, forgiveness of sin, deliverance and so much more. Jesus' blood makes us whole and gives us life. Additionally, it protects us and seals us with God's love, mercy, and grace.
I know that some of you are breathless, and literally hanging on to dear life. You feel lonely, depressed, and hopeless. Others of you feel beaten down and buried under the weight of the world. You are stuck in your same day-to-day routines, and feel empty and void. The sadness and darkness is overwhelming. I know because I have been there, many times. I still have days when I struggle. Many of you question if there's more to life, while some of you are ready for life to end. You feel like all the oxygen has been sucked out of the room. You are lost, dissatisfied, confused, weak, and have no rest. Whatever you're going through, I am confident that Jesus can supply all that you need--a blood transfusion is just the beginning.
Isaiah 61:1-3 gives us great news! It says,
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Jesus wants to free you! Heal your broken heart and comfort you! He wants to give you joy and meet all your needs!!! What areas in your life need the blood of Jesus? Do you have relationships that needs reconciling? Do you have sins that need cleansing? Do you have a heart that needs healing? What do you need help with in your life? Let God meet that need. Maybe you need a nutrient rich diet or a supplement--read the Bible and listen to some uplifting sermons. Some of you need prayer. You may need to have someone pray with you or for you. You might even need to find a local prayer room or healing room. Ask God to lead you. God can refresh you, so that you can finally breathe again, and feel refreshed. Others of you may need to undergo spiritual surgery, by God, our Great Physician. Trust God to help you and carry you through. I don't know what your need is, but God does. Let Him help, He can help you with anything.
Let us pray.
Oh Lord, our Great Physician,
Thank You for this message and for all the readers. I lift them all up to You in the name of Jesus, and ask that You come to their aid, quickly. I pray that You break off every yoke, bond, chain, and shackle. Set them free. I pray that You bring them out of darkness, and give them energy, rest, peace, and comfort. Nourish them and heal all their sickness and disease. Give them a blood transfusion from Jesus Christ. Make them whole again; give them breath and life. Help them, heal them, and give them hope. Meet all their needs Father. Right now, I plead the precious blood of Jesus over all of them, and stand in faith for their breakthroughs, salvation, and liberty. Thank You so much LORD, I praise Your GREAT name! You are mighty to save! In Jesus' name, amen.
Prayerfully,
Pam
