His Purpose Prevails

Hello to the new readers and former readers alike,

I am back! I finished my graduate program, got licensed, and opened up a private practice. It all sounds great, but I am still undergoing deep emotional healing. These last 3 years after school has been less than easy. I had some of the hardest lessons on forgiveness, boundaries, and humility and God continues to show me how Satan attacks my identity and worth.

When I became a licensed therapist, I felt that I had to choose between my profession and blogging and sharing my faith. In school, we are taught not to self-disclose. Thus, I felt like continuing my blogs would be self-disclosure overload! However, after much prayer and talking to Godly women for counsel, I am moving forward. I want to talk about how God speaks to me daily. He is there in the big and everyday little things.

Even though I have a new career (ministry), I still love God’s Word and desire for people to grow uniquely in their relationship with Christ and in His Word. I want to share practical tips on how to have a relationship with God. God is not unreachable or only available to people of the faith higher on the food chain. He knows and also hears little ol’ me. This website, His Purpose Prevails reminds me that all I do must be for Him, and that His purpose supercedes mine. While it is Him that has given me this profession and ministry, I still need to put and keep Him first.

Hence the verse: Many plans are in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’S purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

Therefore, this site is an integration of all of me. Being a Christian, Hmong American Woman, who is also a business owner, mental health therapist, speaker, mom, daughter, wife, and so forth.

Please stay tuned as I navigate what this means for me, and what it looks like to share what God is doing in my life. I believe in the power of testimonies, and I feel like my entire life is an endless list of what God is doing and continues to do. I hope to post videos soon, but in the meantime, I will continue to share what God is correcting, teaching, showing, and revealing to me. It’s important that you bring everything I write and share to God, and that you have your own personal relationship with Him. You have access to God, same as I do, through prayer, sermons, worship, praising Him with song, other Christians, and best of all—THE BIBLE! He desires for you all to know Him intimately and deeply.

So, what are you waiting for?

My prayer for all of you is that you fulfill your God-given purpose, find joy, and continue steadfast in the LORD.

Be bless,

Pam
