To Those Without Hope
I just got off the phone with my father. For those of you who don't know, he is an atheist. He is a logical thinker, someone who doesn't believe in anything unless he can see it and verify it with his own eyes.

The Greatest Commandment
The other day, my daughters and I gathered for Bible Study, and we read from the book of Matthew. A snippet of what we read is below…

Busy being Busy
If I am not careful, I quickly get caught up in the routine of doing daily, meaningless tasks. If this is your first time reading, allow me to introduce myself. I am a Type A Personality, and a Task Master.

I Need to Confess
There are a few things that I need to confess to you all. I need to confess that I am weak and feeble, that my faith greatly lacks (in certain areas), and that I feel like a hypocrite.

Worship in Spirit and in Truth
Jesus tells us in John 4:23-24 that a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

One Step at a Time
If you are a follower of Christ, more often than not, God will ask you to do something. He may ask you to share your testimony, give something valuable away, adopt or foster a child, move to new city, leave an unhealthy relationship, or stand up for a person or cause.

God's Transforming Power
I love listening to testimonies. It doesn't matter if someone is sharing a testimony they've heard about, or if it's the actual person sharing themselves. There is just something so powerful about testimonies that uplifts and encourages my soul.

Distressed, in debt, or discontent?
Samuel 22:2 says, All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him (David), and he became their commander. About four hundred men were with him.

Trials and Tribulations
I'm sure many of you (if not all) have experienced hardships, struggles, or problems in life. I don't think I've ever met anyone who's said they've never had problems, or that they have an easy life.

3 Ways I Worship the LORD
No matter what we are going through, what our circumstances look like, or what we are currently feeling, we can still worship our amazing God.

The Blood of Christ
God is Holy, and we are not. All of us sin and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), dating back to Adam and Eve.

25 Things About Me
Today I wanted to do a fun post, so I am sharing 25 things (you don't know) about me.

This season
If you live in Central WI (like me), you may have had it with the snow. My wishful thinking was that the last snowstorm we got in early April was the last of it.

What's in your bag?
Sometimes, when I'm waiting in the checkout line, I'll pick up a magazine to see what the latest celebrity rumor or fashion advice is. A lot of it is mumbo jumbo, so I put the magazine back on the stand where it belongs.

3 reasons why we're never satisfied
When I first came to know the LORD, I learned (from Joyce Meyer) that we are made up of three parts: our body, soul, and spirit. The body is our physical body, which houses our spirit and our soul.

Take up your cross
Every year (leading up to Easter), I make a point to watch Mel Gibson's, The Passion of the Christ. I do this to remember what Jesus Christ did for me, to remember the truth meaning of his death and resurrection.

Our teacher, the Holy Spirit
When I first became a Christian, I was starving for God's Word. I went to as many local bible studies as I could, and watched numerous sermons on TV or Youtube.

Our identity in Christ
Life is a constant roller coaster. We have highs and lows; we have times when we are on the mountain tops, then in a matter of days, we are down in the valleys. During my lows, I've noticed that my thoughts are often negative and self-defeating.

Are you prepared?
No, you don't have to worry, this is not a pre-armageddon post, nor is it a post of me writing about who is going to heaven and who is going to hell.

The Mind of Christ
The mind of Christ is extremely different than that of our own. I know this because, through the last seven and a half years, the Holy spirit has continued to cleanse and renew my mind (Romans 12:2).
